From May to December of 2023, Corry had the opportunity to complete her co-op placement with Blackberry as a Designer Student. She was fortunate to work on a multitude of projects within branding, advertising, and events. She created static and motion graphics, as well as photography and videography in those realms.
Here, you will experience a selection of the projects she worked on, including an informational illustrative video, advertisements from the company's most significant event of the year called "Summit," advertisements from a cybersecurity campaign, an exhibition booth concept for the Consumer Electronics Show, and a new social media template proposal.
Endpoint Protection Platform Pillar Page Video
Stepping into the world of animation, Corry was tasked to create a full-length informational, illustrative video revolving around Endpoint Protection Platforms. She was ready to take on this task immediately to challenge herself, as she had yet to do any long-formatted motion graphics leading up to that point. Ultimately, she was proud of the final piece and overjoyed about all the new skills she learned throughout the process.​​​​​​​

SUMMIT 2023
BlackBerry holds an annual conference to discuss the latest IoT, IT, and Cybersecurity innovations in New York City, USA every year. This event used to be called "Security Summit," but in 2023, it was rebranded to "Summit" as they wanted to experiment with the company's branding. The focus of the creative elements was to showcase convergence with light and motion. There were many pieces of materials that Corry created for the event, which included web pages for the sponsors, live stream, on-demand videos that were available when the event was completed, paid media for advertising, Powerpoint templates that all of the speakers used, digital way finders that were displayed at the event, and much more.​​​​​​​

Forrester TEI Study Advertising Campaign
For a few years, BlackBerry has been featured in some reports and studies that Forrester, a worldwide market research company, has conducted. With that, the companies like to run advertising campaigns every time they work together. This campaign spotlighted one of the company's products, CylanceGUARD. The statistics needed to stand out to capture the viewer's attention. This goal was accomplished by using pops of colour and typographical visual hierarchy. These ads had to be formatted in distinct sizes and translated into French and German, resulting in over 75 versions.​​​​​​​

2024 Consumer Electronics Show - Exhibition Booth Concept
BlackBerry was set to attend the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, to present what the company was doing in the automotive industry. They needed an exhibition booth that stepped away from what the company typically does every year, which is to stick to their basic corporate branding. This concept is an entirely different take on the company's branding. Corry wanted to focus on fluidity as she was inspired by the motion lines a car can leave behind, symbolizing a path of moving forward. Considering the company is moving into new avenues within the automotive industry, this was the perfect time to showcase advancement within the brand.
Social Media Template Proposal
The company needed updated social media templates as their current set was inconsistent with the branding guidelines or was being misused. The objective was to create fresh templates and updated guidelines to communicate and support a new, clean, dynamic imagery strategy that appears across all social channels and BB.com.
